Cause and Effect : The mystery of insomnia

Insomnia comes in many shapes and forms from intermittant to chronic, and with many different causes.  This is can make this condition so frustrating – there could be many interconnecting causes of your insomnia and the resolution of just one cause may not resolve all the symptoms of insomnia.

However, the more you learn and take action, the more empowered you are to apply the right tactics and bring relief.

1. Insomnia can be triggered by an major event in your life:

  • An acute illness.
  • Injury or surgery.
  • The loss of a loved one.
  • Job loss.

  • Trouble at work.

2. Female hormones are also a leading cause of insomnia.  This can come up in a number of different situations such as:
